About Us

Tools International Corporation is one of the fastest growing manufacturers of slickline wireline tools in the industry. We offer a complete line of slickline tools for on and offshore oilfield operations around the world. Our locking mandrels, tool string equipment, running and pulling tools are available to all industry specs and standards.

TIC is known throughout the industry for its resourcefulness and quick response. Our commitment to customer service includes meeting the challenges of special design requirements, wherever and whenever they arise. To larger companies, this kind of flexibility is thought to be cost prohibitive ... at TIC, we think it's essential.

In addition to our manufactured equipment, we are also able to keep in stock or provide quick delivery of stainless steel and more exotic wires for virtually any well environment. TIC supplies the industry with Bethlehem and Canline wirelines, manufactured by Greening Donald. Greening Donald wire is supplied weld-free, 100% nondestructive tested and is independently tested according to DIN 50049 3.1.b.

Company History

Tools International Corporation was founded in 1974 in the heart of the oilfield industry by Elmer Brown and Jack Villagomez, who brought with them a combined 60 years of experience in wireline tool manufacture.  It remains headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana today, with a satellite manufacturing facility located near New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

Larry Pearson joined the company in 1980, adding financial and management strength.  Mr. Pearson acquired the company in 1993 and, under his leadership, TIC continued to grow in both sales volume and reputation for being a company of professionals.  Over the years, many skilled hands and talented minds were recruited.  The majority of the company’s employees, from administration to machinists, have been with TIC for 15 years or more.

In 2010, TIC’s longtime management team of John Boulanger, Shelley Breaud, and Dodd Foreman purchased the company.  Their combined experience and expertise in manufacturing, administration, and operations is invaluable in providing continuity and stability.  Their vision will guide Tools International Corporation into a future even more exciting than its remarkable past.

“We want our customers to have a positive experience in dealing with Tools International, from the first phone call or e-mail through the receipt of the product and final invoicing.  Part of that is making sure that we send the correct product, assembled correctly, and checked for accuracy.  Each tool on every order is inspected by three different people before being cleared to ship.”

Dodd Foreman
Owner / Director of Operations
“Tools International is owned and operated by local people who’ve come up through the ranks, many of us with over 25 years with TIC. In an industry where on-the-spot innovation is critical, having that kind of knowledge base - on call - can be the difference between success and failure.”

John Boulanger
Owner / Director of Manufacturing

“My goal is for every contact our customers have with our administrative staff to reflect the pride we feel about this company’s products and customer service. There’s a difference between TIC and other companies, and I want it to be evident in even the most routine transaction.”

Shelley Pearson Breaud
